Robbert van Haselen is the Director of the International Institute of Integrative Medicine. He was born in the Netherlands and holds a degree in Health Sciences and Naturopathic Medicine.
He worked as Head of Research for VSM (a Dutch homeopathic company) from 1990 to 1995 and as Head of R&D for Heel (a German homeopathic company) from 2006 to 2011.
From 1995 to 2005, he worked at the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital as Deputy Director of Research.
He was Editor-in-Chief of the prestigious journal “Complementary Therapies in Medicine” from 2004 to 2015.
He has chaired the Clinical Data Committee of the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States since 2013 and is involved in the development of standards for clinical trials and data.
He founded the World Forum for Integrated Medicine (www.WIMForum.org) in 2016, which aims to engage government, political, business, and academic leaders in shaping the global and regional implementation of Integrated Medicine.
He has been a member of the Coordinating Council of the World Coalition for Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Healthcare (www.tcih.org) since 2022.
He also works as an independent consultant for the public and private sectors of Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Healthcare.
Dr. Patrizia Ana Bricarello is a veterinarian with a PhD in Science and a specialization in Clinical Homeopathy. She has extensive experience in Preventive and Integrative Veterinary Medicine. She serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Science and Rural Development and in the Graduate Program in Agroecosystems at the Center for Agricultural Sciences of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), located in Florianópolis, Brazil. Her teaching, research, and extension activities focus on animal health, welfare, one health and sustainable agricultural systems.

Dr. Aditya Pareek, a third-generation homeopathic physician, is the director of Pareek Hospital in Agra, India, which serves an average of 250 outpatients per day. He is the Publications Secretary of the LMHI and editor of “The Homeopathic Physician,” the official journal of the LMHI. Dr. Aditya Pareek is the current president of the Indian Society of Homeopathy and has been a keynote speaker at LMHI congresses in Bogotá, Seville, and Utrecht. Additionally, he has delivered seminars on the management of advanced pathologies in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, and other countries.
Dr. Alexander Tournier, PhD in Biophysics, founded the Homeopathy Research Institute in 2007. He is currently an Associate Researcher at the University of Bern, where he investigates the mechanism of action of homeopathy and leads the CaseScribe project.
Dr. Bernardo A. Merizalde is the president of the LMHI (International Homeopathic Medical League) and a globally recognized leader, educator, and advocate for integrative medicine with over 45 years of experience. As a board-certified psychiatrist and expert in holistic medicine, he has held numerous leadership positions within the LMHI and is a past president of the American Institute of Homeopathy. Throughout his distinguished academic career, he has taught at prestigious institutions such as Thomas Jefferson University and the University of Pennsylvania, while significantly advancing the field through his extensive clinical practice, international lectures, and peer-reviewed research publications.
Beheshteh was introduced to homeopathy while studying veterinary medicine in her home country of Iran. After graduating from veterinary school, she continued her education in homeopathy and went on to establish the first veterinary homeopathy clinic in Tehran, Iran in 1999. She currently lives in the United States, where she practices homeopathy and teaches at the Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy.
Dr. Don Hamilton is the current president of the International Association for Veterinary Homeopathy (IAVH), and he has practiced veterinary homeopathic medicine for over 35 years of his nearly 5 decades of veterinary practice. His practice is almost exclusively with homeopathic medicine. Dr. Hamilton utilizes more classical methods as well as the more modern methods of finding the best medicines (periodic table, plant systems, etc.). Homeopathy must evolve as our modern world has evolved (or devolved) significantly within the past hundred years.
Dr. Hamilton also supports the intrinsic value of non-human nature on all levels. Unless we protect the non-human world, the human world cannot continue to thrive, but furthermore, the non-human world has equal value to the non-human world, and the idea that humans are somehow special is false.
Emily McAteer lives in Dublin where she owns and runs an integrative veterinary practice offering holistic and conventional approaches. Her main field is homeopathy. She has been using homeopathy successfully in her veterinary practice for over 20 years.
She graduated from University College Dublin with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1990 and studied veterinary homeopathy in the UK to become a member of the Faculty of Homeopathy in 2018. She is the Junior Vice President of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons and the Irish Representative for the International Association of Veterinary Homeopaths. She went to the Irish School of homeopathy to learn to treat her patients’ guardians and is now enrolled in Jeremy Sherr’s Dynamis school.
She loves music festivals, hiking, sea swimming and traveling in her campervan with her dogs. She has 3 adult children, 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Her mission is to encourage more vets to practice homeopathy through education and open dialogue. She is secretary and will be teaching at the HVTG academy which is a new school providing in person high quality homeopathic training to vets.
Mag.med.vet. Helene Widmann runs a department for exotic animals in Vienna, Austria since 2007. While studying veterinary medicine she discovered her interest in homeopathy and started to attend courses at the veterinary university in Vienna as well as seminars organized by various associations like SIH, ÖGVH, Aude Sapere, IAVH, ÖGHM, GaMed, Vethom Akademie, LMHI and GEMS seminars from the Bristol Homeopathic Hospital. She was an active member of the board of the StudentInnenInitiative Homöpathie (SIH), the Österreichische Gesellschaft für Veterinärhomöopathie, (ÖGHM) and she was General Secretary for the International Association for Veterinary Homeopathy. Homeopathy is a major pillar in her routine work focusing on reptiles, birds, amphibians, wildlife, small mammals and dentistry. She has shared her knowledge through presentations at conferences all over Europe.
Dr. Jody Bearman first learned a bit about homeopathy through a local practitioner while in veterinary school in the late 80s. After years in conventional allopathic practice, she forayed into traditional Chinese veterinary medicine, worked with another veterinary homeopath, took the Pitcairn Course then graduated from Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy where she now instructs human homeopaths, many of whom help their own animals. Other than her own human and animal family, helping humans and animals to be well is her greatest joy.

Peter Gregory qualified at Bristol University Veterinary School in 1972 and worked in mixed practice in his native Yorkshire, then Queensland (Australia) for several years, before returning to UK in 1984 and discovering homeopathy. He continued to practise homeopathy up until his retirement from practice last year. He has taught homeopathy to vets in UK and around the world. He is Veterinary Dean of the Faculty of Homeopathy in London, an ex-president of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons (BAHVS) and of the International Association for Veterinary Homeopathy (IAVH). He is author of ‘Homeopathy for Animals: Insights from Veterinary Practice’, co-author of ‘Textbook of Veterinary Homeopathy’ and recently published two ‘Pocket Guides’: ‘Cats and Homeopathy’ and ‘Dogs and Homeopathy’; he has also contributed to several other publications. He lives in Dorset with his partner Jane Keogh, two Jack Russell terriers and a Border Collie. In his spare time he goes walking and cycling, plays Welsh and English traditional music on the button accordion and supports Weymouth Football Club.
Dr. Thomas Joseph Farrington, MVB MRCVS VetMFHom, is an experienced veterinary surgeon specializing in homeopathic veterinary medicine, with clinical work spanning large animals, equine, mixed, and companion animal practice. He has led a fully homeopathic veterinary practice and is dedicated to restoring health through an integrative approach combining classical homeopathy, complementary therapies, and conventional veterinary diagnostics.
Dr. Farrington is an active researcher, lecturer, and developer of homeopathic medicines, with multiple peer-reviewed publications in veterinary homeopathy and several international patents in the human and veterinary sectors. He has lectured for organizations such as the Faculty of Homeopathy, the European Committee for Homeopathy, and the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons.
Dr. Ramírez graduated with honors as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1998 from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. Following graduation, she established and managed her own small animal practice in her hometown, where she practiced conventional veterinary medicine for over 12 years.
In 2015, she began her studies at the Pitcairn Institute of Veterinary Homeopathy, an experience that transformed her perspective on veterinary medicine and integrative animal care. She is a Certified Veterinary Homeopath (CVH) since 2018 and has lectured nationally and internationally on veterinary homeopathy.
In recognition of her professional contributions and dedication to veterinary medicine, Dr. Ramírez received the Professional Excellence Award from the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in 2019. Expanding her commitment to holistic healthcare, she pursued formal studies in human homeopathy beginning in 2020 at the Northwestern Academy of Homeopathy and later at the Prometheus Homeopathic Institute, from which she graduated in 2024.
Dr. Ramírez currently serves as Secretary of the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy and as the Mexican Representative of the International Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy. Through her clinical practice, teaching, and international collaborations, she is dedicated to advancing integrative and homeopathic medicine for both animals and people, promoting compassionate, individualized, and patient-centered care with special focus on chronic disease management.
Joe graduated from the Dublin Veterinary College in 1992 and worked in general veterinary practice for two years in Ireland before moving to work in New Zealand and Australia.
Upon returning to Ireland, he took over the practice of his father, Simon, also a veterinarian, and continues to work there to this day. It is a mixed practice that treats a wide range of animals, from racehorses to dairy and beef cattle, sheep, and also features a thriving small animal practice.
Joe became interested in complementary medicine after realizing that modern medicine had no answer for many cases. Seeking alternatives, he studied bioenergy and kinesiology, eventually creating a fusion of modalities that he now calls “Kinnergy.”
He uses this technique daily in his clinic to treat a wide variety of conditions, often chronic cases that conventional methods have been unable to resolve. He lives in southeast Ireland with his partner and two dogs. His son also recently graduated from veterinary college, thus completing the third generation in the profession. Joe is dedicated to bringing energy medicine to a wider audience, both veterinarians and the general public, so they can understand its potential in veterinary practice.
